Faith really is as Hebrews says it is, "...the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". I've really put some thought into it, studied, pondered, and really thought about what faith really is in the scriptures. And yesterday it again finally hit me, that faith is knowledge without the physical proof. We've asked ourselves, why we do the things we do? Why do we do anything we do?
Everything narrows down to faith, and it narrows down to our choice to act upon it. No one said it would be easy, but it will be worth it.
Y'all know, I never really know what to say in these letters. So some highlights also include from this past week:
- I got to use that awesome Plan of Salvation puzzle in a FHE last and boy does it do some good!
- Exchanges with the Woodstock Elders! Elder Loveland quotes spongebob more than I do, :D I love it!
- Hitting a goal of 73/70 contacts (people we meet at doors or on the street). We knocked for 5 hours Saturday and got 25 of those out of it :)
- Having the awesome recent convert, bring her friend to church. We had a special fast, and I believe blessings came and part of them were meeting this new investigator!
- And last, Church :)
Workin' things out on how to be a successful District Leader, looking back on my life-notes from serving in class office in those High Schooler days. Thank gosh the Lord prepares us. Still learning and growing so much in the gospel. And training is going well.
Trying to keep a good perspective for the remainder of this Transfer (2 1/2 weeks) but who's counting! Have a good week share some light and keep the faith.
Lots of love,
Elder Black
