But to get back to the crux of the letter, sharing the sharing the gospel of Christ and understanding the purpose of the work brings everlasting joy in confirmation and in spirit.
Coming to the conclusion where if I'm gonna say or do something it has to be right; right with me, and right with god, so that it is real.
"Just be Real"
Because though sharing the gospel may at times feel like a business, where ya really gotta share it and sell it or otherwise it's outer darkness for you Bucky, it's not that. The Gospel itself is nothing business related.
Our Mission President, President Bennion, briefly touched on this at last weeks Zone Conference. Unlike a business, the work of the Lord is not done to create profit or increase numbers, we aren't here cause 15000000 members isn't enough people for our church. It's not to show off either, but the truth of the gospel is that we are here because we love God, because we want to follow his son's example, and we want to help our fellow brothers and sisters. Unlike many of those corrupt businesses we see in the world (Ronald McDonald I know you're really Satan), missionary work is done with love and unity to create lasting conversion.
It's real life, real people, real problems, with only one solution, one way, and one guy, and that's through Jesus Christ.
"He is the light and life of the world; yea a light that is endless, that can never be darkened..."
Avery's infamous High School Musical theme song,♫ We're all in this together!♫ and the famous hymnal lyrics, "we are all enlisted to the conflict is over" both come into mind. We've been working really hard in our companionship and our branch to increase this vision of love, unity, respect because we are all in this together, working to help redeem each other. Helping get out of this second pit until Christ comes again.
Sharing makes me feel good, when I'm doing it with the right heart. And letting myself go out and be free-spirited is fun too. Writing to y'all makes me feel good. And I enjoy reading your emails and letters too.
What makes you feel good? Whatever it is, go share it.
All good things come from God :)
Love,
Elder Adam Black
