Also, after church yesterday, we decided that it was time to go and tract! "Yay" , tracting on fast sundays is definitely more challenging than the other days. But with diligence and obedience we decided to head out and just do it. Well when we got there guess what suddenly happened!?...
Nothing. Nothing happened. Nobody was answering. It was like a Zombie Apocalypse, everyone was dead and gone. No reference to the virus outbreak that happened a couple days ago I hope. Well, we figured after a half hour of no responses we probably shouldn't be there, and Elder Kelly really had to use a bathroom, so we left in search for the elect as well as for a lavatory.
So we pit stop at the park where we let our companion do his business. Heading back to Dirty Debby (the name of our car) we pass a guy who knew we were Elders, and so thus the conversation begins...
Wow, oh wow!! How amazing the Spirit works!! It seems like whenever we follow our bladders or stomachs God does something good and crazy from it :) We found out that this guy is a Christian saint, and a minister at his church. He's met missionaries before in his job, he's a taxidermist, and went to a funeral at a Mormon church. Actually knew lots about the temple, and it all made sense to him even if he didn't fully understand. He said he felt like the church he was attending and a lot of the churches around were doin' things wrong. They had good people, and truth to them, but there was something missing. He then told us that he's had the chance to read the Book of Mormon and it just made sense to him. Saying, "it is just like the bible only it has parts in it that the bible doesn't fully have, but adds to the missing parts and make it go hand in hand." We asked if he knew that the Book of Mormon was true, and that it went with the Bible, why wasn't he Mormon?Haha, he replied back asking well that is a good question, why aren't I Mormon? He wants to really look at that book and meet with us again. He lives in the GAM, so we ended up exchanging info so that missionaries there can hit him up! (and baptize him)!
This man is totally prepared. God is really doin' miracles in Georgia, and it's great to be a part of it.
A lot happened this week, and it feels like the pages passed by way too fast and looking back it was so good, and I wish I had more time to tell. I guess that is why they have us use journals, I was struggling a while back with writing in mine, but the past few weeks I've committed myself to just do it. That there is only one life to live so live it to the fullest, I'm like perks of being a wallflower, WRITE ABOUT US: THE SLUT AND THE FALCON, only I write about how I'm doin, what's happenin', the positives, that kinda shtuff... :S
I love you family and friends, thanks for all your support and for your prayers. You mean the world to me, thanks for all you do. Here's to 10 months! :)
