Greetings and good Afternoon!
Happy Late Independence Day! Freedom rang quite boldly this past Friday, it was great! The day of America was celebrated at a ward party, and after it was celebrated again a second time at a members home where it was a kinda rewind and relax hour. This family knows I love watermelon, and now they know I love corn - I scored 3 corn on the cobs left in our apartments fridge to eat :)
We got to meet the new mission president, and he is a great man! Very humble and very in tuned with the Spirit. Sister Bennion is into music which is sick. We had a training where she had us sing hymns like a choir, flashbacks to the days in T's room with the class of 2013. It was a really good meeting, lots of revelation received as well. The Bennion's remind me of my grandparents, they are so loving and so excited, nervous, but ready, much like the rest of us are when we first come out here.
Anyway, things are chill. Like an ice cube, which I wish I could have right now, it's really hot and humid and today we played soccer for P-day recreation. Twas epic! I'm definitely out of shape though, and by that I mean I'm more pencil and stick-like. :-D
Role playing with our trainee can be way too funny. Role playing in general is nobody's favorite thing to do, maybe nice but never favorite. When we try though we become distracted and take the roles of investigators to the extreme and in the end just laugh and have a good time. Elder Roberts has taught me to really just live in the moment, and to capture the experience. Don't try to be something you're not, his words are inspiring and I swear this one, like Elder Meloni, is training me too. Trios are a good time, I mean I think that's probably a reason why we have a trinity in the church. Haha, but again things are good.
This week was excellent, and this next we are out searching, planting, and sowing and leaving our mark.
I love this Gospel!! :) Let's go save the Earth!!!
Love y'all!
