Initiating the contact. Well this past week was fun there was a lot of different things that of course we learned from and and grew from. So now that probably sounds about 30 or 90 times familiar... that was sarcasm... Really I just don't know what to say or do anymore in these letters, today itself is like a blur in time. We just continue to march on in the everlasting battle for righteousness goodness and eternal bliss.
I guess even in the worst times or even in the times when you feel like you're just in the middle there is nothing greater or better than the taste of the atonement. Really when I think of it, it gets no better than to just think that Jesus Christ is the someone who can support and be that ample arm.
We are still working with a bunch of families! The Addison family came to church yesterday and they really enjoyed for the first time. The Julian family came to a dinner last week with the Cranks (members) and they really enjoyed as well. We had dinner on Saturday with the Juarez family and celebrated Father's Day with their grandfather, who reminds me a lot of what my own father might be like at 60 years old just really humble, and still hardworking. As for Ricky he is doing OK, not showing too much interest anymore in church, but we still reach out to him and help the best we can. Kayla is struggling and we had a good lesson and told her that the most opposition that could come would be in the first year of being a member of the church. If she can make it through this she an make it through anything.
So far summer is still sweet! Today we are over at the Decooks playing some ping-pong, pool, and spike ball. We are with the Zone Leaders, Elder Pond and Elder Gottfreddson, and Elder Anderson and Elder Kennedy. This week, the mission is going to go into phase two for the iPads where we use the virtual area book. There's lots of things to still learn, so y'all have a good week and stay hydrated! It's more humid than last year here!
Miss you guys, and good thing the Blacks are back home safe and sound.
Love,
Elder black
Good timber does not grow with ease,
The stronger wind, the stronger trees.
The further sky, the greater length.
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow.
