Hello!
I can't believe it is June. I don't believe it actually, and I don't believe I've even been on the mission now 8 months counting. It's too weird, and really where did the time go? I definitely feel the summer, the heat and humidity aren't too bad, when I think about those things even or when other people may complain I'm just like, "I don't care, I love it."
Aah Summer, 'tis the season of Life.
This week was so good. To explain this goodness, let me first share this; last week we had a Zone Conference and President Wolfert announced that June would be the Month of Consecration. Now I just learned what the term "consecration" meant only a few days before our conference. So talk about inspired by God.
Consecration means to be set apart or to submit one's self to the will of God fully. The bible dictionary better says that it is To dedicate, to make holy, or to become righteous. The law of consecration is a divine principle whereby men and women voluntarily dedicate their time, talents, and material wealth to the establishment and building up of God’s kingdom.
Haha, yes I copied and pasted. But as previously mentioned, missionaries aren't perfect people and there can be some disobedience, it's sad. But President wants all that to be in the past, and wants us to reflect on how we can rededicate ourselves to the Lord so that when our new MP comes in at the end of the month we can be at our top performance.
He has given us the Standards of Excellence for our mission and they are truly inspired by God. The standards of excellence made perfect sense once I understood that they are really goals intended to raise our vision and increase our faith in the missionary work. So when these standards are placed in the context of what missionary work actual is; to find, to teach, to invite and then to baptize, then automatically you see miracles come each week.
Again things are always according to our faith and desires in God. Well since I got here in Lilburn / Lawrenceville / the northeast part of GA, we have diligently worked and I mean really worked. Elder Kelly was not used to a worker like me before I came, he and I are going hard and it's so fun:) We are now witnessing miracles and there is a definite change in the air.
So last week was so good because we reached 3 standards. We found 5 new investigators, people who made return appointments with us and were interested in learning more. We were able to have over 5 lessons with investigators with members present to help teach and bear testimony. And our investigator, Amber, came out to church with two of her friends:)
I freaking love working in the Lord's vineyard!
And I'm gonna to say that this summer is probably going to be the best summer of my Life. I was so stoked when he announced that we would have a month of Consecration! After hearing and feeling the Spirit at conference and being again INSPIRED from the other trainings and testimonies. I'm ready.... and.... I'm pumped!!!
I know the Lord is going to show us miracles this month! (In fact he just did, there was a really meaningful contact with a guy in the library we're in just about 15 minutes ago. It was sweet. ) And I know he is going to do the same for you guys!
I have a question and I've been meaning to ask for a while, and I've forgotten a ton, but to those reading I invite you as a missionary (yes I'm inviting) to please reply back to one of the following questions to help me out here, but to also help you.
Hearts out,

- How has obedience to God's commandments helped you in certain situations in your life?
- Where does your drive come from and what motivates you to keep doing the things you do?
- What miracles do you witness with your family?
- If you are young, single and an adult, what do you look forward to most in the future?
