Happy After Veterans Day!
Congrats to you Avery! I'm very proud of y'all, and it is so cool to hear all the awesome spiritual experiences you have going on. I love to hear and see you guys grow and progress. [Avery received her YW Medallion on November 10 with a wonderful "Evening in Excellence" program. Adam had taken this photo of her and created the graphics before he left - we used many of his photos of her and a selection of him playing "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift for part of the music in her presentation.]
This past week of the Georgia Thrill has been good. Last week we had a Zone Conference, and President and Sister Wolfert were there and we discussed many topics and went through trainings that helped us handle situations when we first meet contacts, dealing with mission stress, car safety, and we also had a testimony meeting which was really cool. After though was the best part cause they fed us:)
Anyway, I've been able to ask more inspired questions, and these questions are really things that I don't think of in advance, they've come to me on the spot and I thank the spirit for that. Soci [Social Circle] is getting waaaaashed - it's getting harder and harder to find new areas to tract and new people to meet. We recently started heading north into the Monroe territory.
It is funny because while tracting there we went to a house where an inactive member lived. When we arrived the lady who answered was not the inactive member who we were initially looking for, but instead was another inactive member who had recently moved into the same house a previous member had lived in. And she didn't know the previous guy who lived there, so it's funny, but she was baptized a couple years ago,
and her daughter was also, but her son was not and he just turned 8. They haven't gone to church for a while, and the daughter is a teen and in that point of life where she just doesn't want to go to church, but we plan on working with this fam and getting them reactivated and hopefully we can teach the lesons to the 8 year old son and get him baptized.
Last week we also taught a women who seems very elect, and another family who were also interested. We are working with these people the best we can, and also just came across them by tracting and letting the spirit guide us. And really, the spirit will guide you to where ever you are suppose to be. I've felt it constantly, and I've never been so grateful to have the Holy Ghost as a companion.
One last thing, I've never been claustrophobic, and I wont say that I am, but when we get to an area where there aren't trees covering the roads I feel like I can breathe better. Haha, I guess I just have that open Salt Lake Valley in my soul.
My prayers are always with the missionaries, whether they be here in Georgia, Ukraine, the Philippines, or anywhere in the world. I know
that things are getting more and more sketchy every day, and these latter days will be coming to a close as part of the Lords plan. "til the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done."
Stay warm and stay safe, til we text again
