Hello My Home,
These first few days in the new ward and new area have been phenomenal. The members in the ward are superb, getting to meet them and build relationships thus far has been great. The Flowery Branch Ward is a brand new ward, callings are still being made. When we met with the WML last Friday he mentioned the Ward previous had some struggle in missionary work as well as reaching out to members, the ward was just to large. With the new split he says that things should be changing, that what was once pushing daisies is now blooming active missionary working ward.
This in itself strikes my testimony and builds it high. It tells me that people are in the places they are in for a reason. There was a definite reason why I was in Winder, and there's definitely one why I'm here in Flowery Branch. I mean since I've been here, Elder Buhler and I have seen lots of miracles, and it's crazy cause those always seem to happen as soon as missionaries go into new areas or transfers happen. In white washing this area, while tracting we've found people who were ready to meet missionaries. Lots of different potentials, and lots of great experiences I wish I could write them all down. Why can't we just brain vomit what's in our minds?
Last night was a crazy miracle, coming back to the house (yes I now live in a house) after church and after we had a lunch we were preparing to head out and tract and find, I call it The Hunt. As we were about to leave we get a call from Sister DeCook who wanted to let us know that her son's girlfriend now wants to hear the missionary lessons. So we go over that night and teach her lesson one, The Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was great, she wants to be baptized, but she wants to know it's all true. She knows it is, she's prayed about it, and something told me she already knew too well. But alas, she's making no commitments yet and wants to honor and respect her parentals opinion. Keeping her and her parents in our prayers. How do you win the hearts of the parents?
It's crazy what the mission does. We've got a lot of good youth investigators, and still finding and meeting people. The area is rich and ready to be reaped.
Hoping you the best week,
March on this March!
