Today we're headed to the Fort Yargo State Park. It has all the nifty items that a Special Needs Summer Camp could have, which impressively is a lot. It's way sweet and last P-day we spent the day there fishing. By the end we actually ended up catching 3 small sea critters (excuse my lack of marine biology knowledge) and took them home to fry. While we were frying them, a recent convert, Tony, came by and dropped off another fried dish for us to dine with. He told us he shot it earlier that morning. Now, this is the real South and what do you think we ate that night that makes this letter so spooky? Take a guess:
What climbs trees...
Has as a bushy tail...
Tastes like chicken...
Is rather chewy...
Last Monday night I ate a squirrel... and I liked it...♫(kp)
Call me nuts, no pun intended, but that critter was not all too bad. And as for me a week later I'm still alive. Rabies free! There was some fur on the pieces that Elder Johnston and the other elders ate, they got the short stick on that one. Haha! But they're doin' fine and overall this past week was mighty rad.
Have a blessed week, tell me what's new and what scares you!

- Tuesday was a good exchange, adventurous no doubt. Worked with Elder De Graff, he's from Cali {Woot woot!}. Worked in Winder while Elder Johnston went with Elder Calkins in Jefferson. Got some some nice teaching appointments.Twas sweet, yet short cut cause on ...
- Wednesday we took a trip to the Athen's Red Carpet to see the inspired and motivating moving strips and vignettes of Meet the Mormons. Watching it in the Stake Center Chapel; I, as a critic, highly recommend you Go watch this movie!! I pray thee! Take a friend! Or anyone for that matter, who is need of a helping hand. Take those who doubt the church or who may even say the LDS church is part of a cult, or that Mormons are racist, sexist, or bias - cause guess what we ain't! And this movie totally proves that. Hopes that makes my case, but I'm proud to be a follower of Christ and a member of His restored church!
- Hop-scotching over to Friday... we were further uplifted at the missionary leadership meeting. It was held in Lawrenceville. The trip over there had so many flashbacks. As they flooded my mind it feels like the two weeks ago being there was years ago already. It's crazy! But it was great to see familiar faces: Elder Meloni, Elder Barnett, Elder Gregory, Elder Kelly, and others from previous areas. I would say it was definitely like a family reunion.
- Saturday and Sunday's sessions of General Conference were good too. I don't feel like goin' all out and expressing my emotions and thoughts toward them, not that they weren't good, but just share this one thought: that GC answered many soul searching and temporary questions for our people we're working with, the zone, and for this little brown soul. Truly inspired!
Have a blessed week, tell me what's new and what scares you!
